More 3 X 3 Cards

Just had to show you some more of those easy 3X3 cards. With the school year well underway and your child meeting new friends the parties do start and store cards are so expensive!!! What an easy way to make your own card or to have your child help you by doing the coloring. (No one says it has to be perfect!!!!)

3 X 3 Cards

Sometimes all you need is a simple 3 X 3 card to add to a gift your child is taking to a party. Here are two of those type of cards. You would not even need to put them in an envelope, just drop the card into the gift bag! How easy is that?

Hope you have a Razzle Dazzle Stampin' Day!

Anniversary

This month is my parents wedding anniversary. Although my dad passed away five years ago I still remember how important dad was to my mother. He is greatly missed by all. Yes my dad went quietly along life's path serving whoever needed help without expecting a thank you from anyone or being recognized at all. Thanks dad and mom for raising me to be the person who I am today! Happy Anniversary!

Seasons Changing

This time of year as the colors on the trees it makes me think of all those things I am grateful for. May I list a few of those things. First and foremost my family, hubby, children and grandchildren. The changing of the seasons, food, harvest time, shelter, the smell in the air, rain, and so much more. This thank you card reminds me of my good frineds and all they do for me. I hope you are enjoying the season change and find much to be grateful for!

Shopping anyone?

I am not normally a great shopper but over the past 3 weeks I have been doing so much crafting with my daughters it has required lots of shopping!!!! Within one week, Monday thru Friday, Abbi and I had been to Hobby Lobby 8 times to get stuff. Yes, 2 of those times were as the store was closing so we raced to get what we needed. Once I got home again Jenni wanted to do some crafting and then the new Hobby Lobby opened close to my home so once again I found myself there with Jenni. NO it was not closing time but the 1st day they were opened. It was a lot of fun. This card remined me of shopping with friends, (daughters), and now I think I am ready to get back into a routine. So much for shopping:( (Money book :) )

WOW!!! Long time no see of me!!!!!

Here are the cards and a project we did in card group. I used the set "Day of Gratitude" for all of them. In addition the word "gratitude" on the project came from the set "Fabulous Phrases". I wanted you to see one of the cards made has nothing to do with autumn or Thanksgiving. If you are like me sometimes it is hard to think outside the box sometimes. I wanted to give you an idea of another way this stamp set could be used and I am sure you can think up many more.
The tube the candy is in I found online at: www.sks-bottle.com. They have lots of different containers and sizes.

The following card is one I made for regionals in St. George in September. It was funny to see they were having us use the same stamp set I used to make the card. Just another idea for you!

Hope you have a Razzle Dazzle Stampin' Day!!!!

Autumn Is Coming

There have been some mornings up the canyon when I got up that I could feel autumn in the air. I do look forward to this season just because I like the temperature better. I find the summer months are way to hot. I really enjoy the 70's so much better. This card reminds of autumn just because of the colors used. It would be very easy to use other colors which could change the season look very easy!

Felt Technique

What a fun technique we used at our last class. It was one in the Stampin' Up magazine I get every month. I know the pink does not show up very well in the picture but in real life looks great.

Add Some Pazzaz To The Kitchen

In the Project Class I did we made these fun dish towels. Using the Big Shot, Flower Folds Die, Circles #2 Die, fabric, and Heat n' Bond we made these dish towels. There was a selection of many fabrics to use and each person choose what they wanted and designed their own towel. Each towel looked different and made me want to make many more. Many Stampin' Up ribbons were used. Each flower and flower center were stitched around using an everyday sewing machine. Hope you have fun trying your hand at designing your own!

Celebrate July 4th

I made these fun 4th of July party favors using white lunch sacks and also a small size. They hold different sizes of candy bars. What a fun way to add to a special day. You could change the theme to be anything you wished. They are quick to make and if you had children the would have fun doing the stamping since it was done randomly. Have fun and let your imagination run with this idea.

Happy Birthday!

I was so excited to start using the new colors I used them in my June class to wet the appetite of my card making friends. Many of them can't hardly wait to see the new catalogue and get started on it. We sued the Big Shot to cut the card with the scallop die and emboss the kraft and pink cardstocks. Hope you enjoy the new fun stuff. If you have questions regarding the new catalogue and want to place and order please feel free to email me and I will get back with you!

Lattice Embossing Folder

Love this technique using the new lattice embossing folder. I inked the embossing folder, laid the cardstock on and ran it through the Big Shot. Love how it gives more depth to the look of the card. I can't hardly wait to try this technique on another project.

Hope you have a Razzle Dazzle Stampin time!

Similar Copy of Bag

I loved the bag all demonstrators got by going to convention last year. I was very sad I could not go due to teaching school. When the release came out for MDS with the art work used on the bags I knew I needed to try it out. It took me nearly a year to accomplish this BUT I think the bag turned out wonderful! For those of you who came to the project class to learn how to do these, THANKS, it was fun. If you have questions please feel free to email me.

Day Five Learning Service

It is amazing how coloring for some children is very difficult. The children were given stamped images of rockets and birds. They used color pencils to color in the images. I had done samples of each to encourage they to stay in the lines and fill the white areas totally in.. Most of the children did a great job. These two cards are just a sampling of what they did. Once again the Stampin Big Shot machine came out along with embossing folders. The children loved using the machine again to emboss the background for each card. I had to cut the background color for the children since it was not a punch. What a great job they have done!!!!

Hope you have a Razzle Dazzle Stampin time with your young ones. This has been great:)

Day Four of Learning Service

Oh how fun it is to squish paper! The children were given three different sizes of circles. They needed to squish each circle and then open them back up. Next they stacked the three circles together then I helped them get the brad in the middle of the flower. The children then learned how to use the Big Shot machine from Stampin Up to help die cut the Top Note Die to put on the card. They loved using the machine and just wanted to do more than what was needed! Just wait they will get a work out using the machine when they cut the flowers out for their mothers. Once again white cardstock was used. I am finding this is one of the new "in" looks for spring and is very helpful to do with the children. The cards all use Stampin Up products except for the ribbon. I would have loved to use the Stampin Up ribbon for these but my grant was limited on funds and the grant was set up to purchase mostly items which can be used over and over again. This is an idea I will be able to use again next year.

Hope you have a Razzle Dazzle Stampin time:)

Day Three of Learning Service

Today the children stamped the presents. I gave them each a strip of white cardstock to stamp a row of presents on. We used seven different colors of stamp pads, (you only see three of the colors we used). The children then used a square punch to punch out the purple background for the present to go on. The children loved stamping the presents and now have started asking when do they get to take the cards home. I had to explain to then again how we were giving the cards to a care center where lots of grandpas and grandmas live. The cards will be given out for birthdays, just kind thoughts, and to families as the parents graduate to the next life. This made them think this was OK again. Then realizing they were going to make a flower to go onto a card for their mothers was helpful.

Enjoy! Have a Razzle Dazzle Stamping time:)

Day Two of Learning Service

For this card the children stamped the heart and then punched the pink circle out. I helped assemble the rest. A very simple idea but very elegant with the lace punch along the bottom edge.

Learning Service Cards

I teach Kindergarten and wrote a Learning Service Grant for my classes. For this grant each child needed to make 3 cards which are being given to a care center to be used in a manner of their choosing. Then the children will each make a Mother's Day card later this week. This first card, the children, stamped tissue paper and then I punched out the flowers, place a brad and attached the flower to each card. Each day this week you will see a different card the children helped to make.

Hope you have a Razzle Dazzle Stampin time:)
